The editing toolkit is still in beta version, which means it’s not perfect yet.
We believe it can already speed up your workflow, so we wanted to let you use it as soon as possible.
Here's a quick walkthrough:
If you come across anything that doesn't work as expected or have any ideas for improvements, please send them through the feedback form in the app.
We'll keep improving it based on your input.
Here are some tips, known limitations, and workarounds.
Edit by prompt
Be specific with your descriptions. "Add a plant" might result in adding a random plant in a random location. "Add monstera in a clay pot by the wall on the right" will produce much better results.
Added objects can be too big sometimes. Add "...while maintaining scale and proportions. Preserve image proportions and keep the same camera framing" to the end of your prompt to keep the scale correct.
When adding people to the scene, mention how many of them you need. Otherwise, the scene might get overcrowded.
We recommend using the "enhance area" tool to improve people generated using the "edit by prompt" tool.
You change multiple things at once in your render, as long as the editing instructions aren’t too complicated.
If some elements of your scene are getting changed, be explicit in your prompt about keeping them unchanged, e.g. "...keep everything else unchanged" or "...maintain all other aspects of the original image".
The image resolution is getting slightly degraded with every edit by prompt. While we're working on fixing it, try avoiding unnecessary edits.
Selection tools
The magic wand tool isn't pixel-perfect, so we recommend using it in combination with the paint brush tool. Use the magic want to select most of the area, then fine-tune with the paint brush tool.
When selecting objects, select slightly outside their boundaries for best results.
Changing textures
Upload your own textures for the most control. We’ll be expanding our built-in library over time.
Upload images of high-resolution textures. Low-res images might make the result look blurry or patchy.
Make sure the orientation of your uploaded texture matches your desired result.
If the scale of the applied texture is too large, upload a more detailed one, and vice versa. We plan on adding scale adjustments in the future.
If the texture wasn't applied properly on the first go, try applying it again using the same selection. It often results in better output. Lastly, enhance your selection for a clean finish.
Removing objects
Make sure to select the entire object (including its boundaries), as well as shadows.
Including a small area around the object also gives our engine the context to blend the background naturally.
If, after removing, there's an object outline remaining, apply the remove action again with the same selection.
Enhancing areas
Use this tool when you want to enhance just a part of the image (like people, plants, materials), and not the whole render.
For best results:
Describe the specific objects or textures you're enhancing to give our engine more context.
Don't use verbs. Just describe what your final outcome should look like.
❌ "Make it more glossy"
✅ "Black walnut dining table with a glossy finish, visible grain texture"
